Melfort
2003
We always
enjoy the show in Melfort! The people attending the
exhibition are very curious and friendly, and a good deal of
our day is spent talking to people about the wonderful animals
we are showing.

This is our faithful show
clerk, Scott. Somehow throughout the entire show he
manages to remain calm and unruffled. Usually by the end
of the show the only two people on the field who don't look
frazzled are Scott and the Judge!

Participants are always
given an opportunity to walk the course before the show.
This is a great help to all handlers, and gives the public a
chance to see the quality of animals that will be showing.

The Judge will have the
handlers move in a variety of patterns, and sometimes more
than once. This is done so the animals can be seen from
all angles.

There is a lot of behind
the scenes work at a show, and some of it right out in the
open! A new obstacle course must be created for each
level of difficulty. As soon as the first level is
complete, the Obstacle Crew jumps into action, and within 10
minutes the next class is ready to begin.

Normally fenced off areas keep the
animals in one place.....

Costume Class is always a big hit for
the crowd!
